Do not be a Fashion victim!

March 9th, 2009 by admin

Everytime i see a woman with the “it bag” i do not envy her. Yes! i pity her. She just threw away ten grand to look like a wannabe. The “it bag” is something that i will never understand. why would someone want to carry around a bag that advertises “fashion victims”? it’s like carrying around a white flag of surrender. the “it bag” is not going to set your wardrobe apart or make any unique style statement, and the bag is where you should have a little fun. Don’t throw away your ten grand for just one bag, because you are buying the brand instead of the bag. what you should do is just use your creative side and be who you are. :)

Make Up

March 5th, 2009 by admin

During the World War II (1939-45) so many chemicals and other resources were used for the war effort that cosmetics had become scarce and expensive. After the war the market was once again flooded with products, and women were encouraged to shop and buy in order to keep the economy healthy. In addition, many women who had filled jobs left open when men had gone to war had adopted a more practical and masculine way of dressing.

Government leaders wanted these women to give their jobs back to men returning from the military, and so leaders stressed a return to feminine roles, such as wife and mother. Fashion designer too, emphasized a return to femininity, such us the New Look created by French designer Christian Dior (1905-1957), which featured lavish designs with full skirt and tight waists that showed womanly curves.

Dress code

February 28th, 2009 by admin

If you have an invitation, always read it carefully. especially for the dress code part. Of course you don’t want to walk in the black tie affair with your casual attire. You should show up to a party and make a statement. The statement can be “Wow” or “whoops”. So, here i will tell you what to wear if there is a dress code.

Black-tie

For a black tie affair, men are required to wear a tuxedo and women are expected to be in a long gown or cocktail dress. This is the time to bring out the fantasy of you want to be. wear bold colors and fabulous jewelry. Don’t be just another woman in a long black gown; because there will be plenty of those spare.

ball gown

Some tricky variations: white tie (ball gowns), formal (same as black tie), creative black tie (This means there is a theme; alwayss follow the theme but make sure you don’t look costumey :) )

Cocktail attire

This means a short dress or cocktail dress. You can have a lot of fun here. Wear you fabulous short dress with your sexy high heels and funkier jewelry.
cocktail dress

some tricky variations: black tie optional, informal, semi-formal.

Dressy casual

This means pants are okay but no jeans, so don’t wear your favorite jeans here. Fun tops are great but don’t ever wear T-shirt. You can wear you leggings instead.
dressy casual

some tricky variations: smart casual, festive casual, business casual (no low-cut tops)

Casual

This means anything goes. But not for you. someone is extending an invitation to you, so make the effort. You have a lot of freedom, so have fun it.

My Portfolio: February

February 25th, 2009 by admin

1st Portofolio: February 25, 2009

Hi all!

I’ve been designing woman’s clothes lately. My friend used my design for her debut (sweet 17) party last January. Since that moment, i always be thrilled to design more and more clothes. well, here, i will show you a few of my designs for this month. Here goes!

Sexy secretary is what i call it.

sexy secretary

I made the length of the skirt a little bit high so that it’d show your beautiful legs.

To make the ordinary skirt extraordinary, i add rope (whatever you call it), to connect front side and back side. To make it sexier, the back side should form X line.

And then, you can wear your tight top with a little bit low on the front.

For the color, i prefer turquoise (actually my fave color) or any bright color.

Don’t pick wrong color or it’d end up like a high school uniform rather than sexy secretary.

For the shoes, you can pick white so that everybody will focus also on your shoes.

You can also wear black sexy high heels, but you should definitely wear black accessories such as black earings, black bag, or black brooch. It would match your shoes.

monroe

My second design was inspired by Marilyn Monroe.

It’s sort of low on the front and i added collar.

For the bottom, it’s very Marilyn Monroe, but i add black on it.

so this is the modernize of Marilyn Monroe according to me. (^^,)

I would wear this on the cocktail party.

Last but not least…

bathing

Bathing suit that can be an evening wear.

I really want to make something unusual yet wearable and creative yet chic.

so i came up with the bathing suit, which is the hot red and cover by the see-through black fabric.

To make it really chic and evening wear look, i added the colorful stones on the neck line up to more or less the waist line.

If you want to go swimming, you can take off the see-through black fabric.

It’s very fabulous for the beach party or pool side party. ^^,

That’s all from me, i hope you are inspired.

If you have question or anything else, just put your comment here.

thanks for reading :)
